Ministry Groups
The Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church is a dynamic and involved church family. We have many ministry groups dedicated to developing fellowship, serving our community and serving God. Participation in our ministry groups are open to all.
Blue Bag - Food collection program for the Food Banks in the Blackstone Valley.
Christmas Dinner - Free community dinner held annually at Christmas.
Communion in Community - Volunteers who take communion to individuals in our community who cannot attend church regularly.
Feeding Our Flock - Provides home cooked meals to church members who could use a little help because of a recent surgery, a birth, a death or some other event that makes it difficult to find time to cook.
Fibromyalgia Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group - Providing support for anyone in the community who has Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
Holiday Food Baskets - A group that creates and distributes holiday food baskets to needy families in the Blackstone Valley.
Methodist Stitchers -Women who sew and provide pinning, cutting and ironing services to benefit our community and the world.
Music Ministry - Provides music for Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church services.
Northbridge Association of Churches - Association of eleven Northbridge churches sharing a common ministry to foster greater understanding, appreciation and cooperation among our churches.
Peace of Bread - Community kitchen that provides a weekly free dinner for people in need.
Play Outside Project (POP) - collects new or slightly used sports equipment and other outdoor toys which are donated to needy children in our community.
Prayer Shawl and Blanket Ministry - Creates blankets and prayer shawls for people in need.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group - Providing support for anyone in the community who has lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, SIDS or other causes.
Snack Ministry - Providing snacks and drinks for needy children at local elementary schools.
United Methodist Men - A creative and supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek to do his will on a daily basis.
Visitation Ministry - Sharing God's love, peace, hope, joy, faith and grace with our brothers and sisters who are home-bound or in nursing or convalescent homes.
Welcoming Ministry - Dedicated to welcoming visitors to our church and assisting during worship services.
