Blue Bag Ministry
Our "Blue Bag" program is a food collection program for the Food Banks in the Blackstone Valley. We distribute blue bags for the collection of food to be donated. Blue Bags are collected during the service on the first Sunday of each month and may be placed in the large baskets in the ladies' parlor or near the entrance of Faith Hall. Donated food is distributed monthly to one of five area food pantries in Douglas, Mendon, Northbridge, Sutton and Uxbridge, Massachusetts.
The following items are especially needed by our local food pantries at this time:
- cleaning products
- bathroom cleaners
- laundry detergent
- sponges
- snack foods/crackers
- juice boxes
- bottles of juice
- canned pasta
- beef stew
- rice pilaf
- canned fruit
- Pop Tarts
- cereal
- oatmeal
- condiments
- syrup
- pancake mix (complete)
