Respond:

A. The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed and a   motion was made and seconded to accept them as presented.

B. Trustee’s Orientation to the Building

We reviewed the use of the thermostats and the lift.

C. Blackstone Valley Gardeners

We received a request from the BV Gardeners to use Faith Hall the 2nd Thursday of each month, September through May, for their monthly meeting.

They are a non-profit organization and they open their membership to all.

They have an average of 40 to 60 people at each meeting.

They will serve refreshments but they will not need to use the      kitchen except for serving and making coffee.

They have offered to do some planting of our pots for us.

A motion was made, seconded and approved to allow them to meet.

D. Ray Talke brought up the idea of a sign to let those who use the church know when we meet and that all are welcome.

Rev. Michele will ask Tina Beauchaine about making one.

E. Adele Gentry presented the Angel Food Ministry which provides a box of food for 30.00. She did not have all the information about the program so she will investigate and bring it back to church council.

F. Dream Team- Dixi Talke

The team has been meeting and they had a large list of ideas that they organized into categories. They realized that as they have been meeting ministries have been being developed by the congregation. They want to let that process continue but there are three specific ideas they would like to pursue.

1. How to Seminars on Finance

2. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.                                        These would be open to the community, free and held on the actual holiday.

3. Additional How to seminars

G. New Ministry proposal – Feeding Our Flock

Audry Sherry has proposed this ministry which would provide meals for people who experience births, deaths or illness.

There are no funds needed for this ministry.

A motion was made  and seconded to approve the ministry.

H. Website- Ray Talke

The annual report is now available online and he has compiled a history of the church which will be posted on the site.

Please send any updates as well as meeting dates to him so we can keep our site current.

I. Recording of Services

The Worship Service is no longer being recorded.  The quality was poor and the demand was not there.  We discussed having the sermon available as a podcast but Rev. Michele does not feel comfortable with that.  She will think and pray about it.

J. Summer Fellowship- Laural Plourde

We will be having a summer fellowship program again.

Anyone interested in hosting an event please let Laural know and she will get it on the calendar.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:39pm.
