Crop Hunger Walk to be Held October 15, 2011

The public is invited to join the fight against hunger by walking in the Blackstone Valley Crop Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 15, 2011.
The walk begins at 9:00 AM and the distance is three miles. Children are welcome. A luncheon will be served to the walkers in the Community Hall.
Walkers from the Blackstone Valley will join 2.3 million people in 2,000 towns nationwide to support self-help programs in 80 countries organized by Church World Service. In addition, the Crop Hunger Walk provides $4 million a year to 3,200 food pantries in the US, including food pantries in Douglas, Northbridge, and Uxbridge.
