Women, Work & Worship 2011

Women, Work & Worship will be meeting on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 9am to noon. We always have a snack to share and coffee. We will be working for the Dress Ministry: sewing, ironing, pinning patterns and cutting out.

Our Holiday Fair for 2011 has been canceled. We will no longer be making items to sell. The cancellation is due to a number of reasons. Bev Wheeler and I feel very passionate about the Dress Ministry. We have the perfect distribution set-up. There is a REAL need for these little dresses and neither Bev nor I were able to devote the necessary time. We can make a small difference in a child’s life…a smile on a Mom and daughter’s face!

Women, Work and Worship will provide time to make dresses. Calling all stitchers and sewing helpers! We would like to be able to have lots of dresses for Easter. I have heard how special it is when a Mom and child pick out a dress off the rack. You only need to provide time and a bit of talent. We provide patterns and fabric and have sewing machines to use!! See you on the 22nd.

A note those women who can not sew: Women, Work and Worship is our opportunity to gather together as women of faith. The connections we have made on these Saturday mornings are priceless. We have a time for worship and sharing. Please feel free to bring any type of personal project to work on. Consider bringing a shawl or blanket you are working on for that ministry. Are you faith booking or scrap booking? Come and spend time making progress on that project. Do come and join us whether you have “busy hand syndrome” or not. Questions?
