Ecumenical Vacation Bible School 2011 - July 18 - 22
Registration is now available for the Ecumenical Vacation Bible School to be held from July 18 - 22, 2011. Available for children from four years old through Grade 6, the Ecumenical Vacation Bible School is sponsored by eleven churches: Armenian Apostolic, Blackstone Valley United Methodist, Fairlawn Christian Reformed, Northbridge Center Congregational, Pleasant St. Christian Reformed, Rockdale Congregational, St. Mark’s Catholic (Sutton), St. Patrick’s Catholic, Trinity Episcopal, United Presbyterian and Village Congregational.
The registration form for the Ecumenical Vacation Bible School may be found here. Registration deadline is Monday, July 11, 2011. There is a late fee if registering between July 12 and July 18, 2011.
The following are further details about the Ecumenical Vacation Bible School:
DATE: July 18 - 22, 2011 (5 days)
TIME: 9:00 A.M. to 12 noon (the opening worship will be at 9:00 A.M. every day at the Village Congregational Church for all children).
PLACE: Village Congregational Church, 25 Church Street, Whitinsville, Massachusetts 01588
AGES: Four years old through grade six
DONATION: $10.00 per child or $20.00 per family. Financial assistance is available.
REGISTRATION: Deadline is Monday, July 11, 2011. There is a late fee if registering on July 18.
PROGRAM: Bible instruction, worship, singing, crafts, outreach projects, chimes, sacred dance, recreation and refreshments.
DISMISSAL: All children will be dismissed from the Village Congregational Church at 12 noon. Children in pre-school through grade 2 need to be signed out.

Optional Swim Program
This year we are continuing the optional program at the Whitin Community Center. This program is open only to children who have completed Kindergarten through grade six. The program consists of optional time after Vacation Bible School that will run during the 5 days, July 18-22, from 12 noon until 2:15 P.M. Swimming will be supervised by the Community Center lifeguards. The total cost per child for the 5 days of swimming is $5.00. We will eat lunch at the Village Congregational Church and walk to the Community Center under the supervision of our VBS volunteers. You will need to sign your child out at the Community Center at 2:15 P.M. each day. Your child needs to bring a lunch and drink (no glass), bathing suit and towel. Please write your name on each item.
Important notice to all parents: please donate items needed for serving refreshments – Cheerios, Flavor Ice, graham crackers, lemonade flavored Kool-Aid, pretzels, Ritz crackers, Goldfish crackers, apple juice and paper cups. Cookies for Friday night would also be appreciated.
