Lenten Classes to Begin February 11 and 12, 2010

The Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church is offering a special Lenten study written by Adam Hamilton titled "24 Hours That Changed the World." This is a seven week study that will begin the week of February 7th. Beginning February 11th, there will be a Thursday evening class at 7:00 PM and beginning on February 12th, a Friday morning class at 10:00 AM. The classes will end the week before Holy Week.
The study includes a video segment followed by discussion. The aim of the book is to help us better understand the events that took place during Jesus' last 24 hours, to better understand the significance of Jesus' suffering and death and to reflect upon what this might mean in our own lives. The classes will be about one hour long.
The book for the study is $15. We would like to offer child care for the Friday AM class. Please let Rev. Michele know if there would be a need for it and she will try to find someone.
If you are unable to attend the small groups, we encourage you to still read the book! It will help make your journey through the Lenten season more meaningful. Please let Rev. Michele know if you plan to attend as soon as possible so that she can order the books! Also, please let Rev. Michele know if you can not come to either of the small groups but would like a book.
